Crabs, Rats, Trees and Murder: The Mysteries of Palmyra Atoll

January 26, 12:00pm - 1:15pm
Mānoa Campus, Kuykendall 410

For Hawaiʻi residents, the mention of Palmyra Atoll brings to mind gruesome murders. For sailors, Palmyra means a safe harbor surrounded by friendly rats, tasty coconut crabs and the ruins of war.

Join me as I share my story of sailing to this national wildlife refuge and working there as a volunteer for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
