The Waikiki Aquarium is partnering with the Honolulu Police Department (HPD) District 6 (Waikiki) Community Policing Team and Jefferson Elementary School to host Waikiki Laulima, a canned food drive for the Hawaii Foodbank and special family day. Event highlights include: A creative LEGO display and education station courtesy of the Waikiki Aquarium Hands-on fun with Pigtails & Crewcuts HPD’s Waikiki Community Policing Team’s blue light, SWAT and canine units on display “In the spirit of Thanksgiving and giving back to the community, we’re excited to open our doors to Hawai?i families for a day of games, fun, and community partnerships while supporting the Hawaii Foodbank,” said Dr. Andrew Rossiter, director of the Waikiki Aquarium. Juniors (12 and under) who bring three canned food donations to the Hawaii Foodbank and are accompanied by a paying adult can enjoy free admission to the Waikiki Aquarium for a full day of family friendly festivities.
