LHRC Conference Abstract Writing Workshop
March 12, 12:00pm - 1:00pmMānoa Campus, Queen Liliuokalani Building
Need help with your abstract? We've got you covered!
An abstract is a summary of your research paper or project. It's fairly simple but does have a structure that helps you to clearly convey to the reader what the elements of your project are.
This is an important skill for future submission to conferences, journals and sometimes even class assignments. Come to this workshop to learn the elements of an abstract, to start writing on, or to get feedback and work on revisions for one. Who knows, you might be ready to submit for the LHRC conference by the end of the workshop!
NHSS will not reject your abstract based on its quality. We may, however, call you into work with us to revise it for clarity. This workshop will help you avoid that. And remember, the first 25 people to submit abstracts completed abstracts will get a free copy of Dr. Tiffany Ing's new book, Reclaiming Kalakaua: Nineteenth-century Perspectives on a Hawaiian Sovereign.
