Lyn Ford presents From Africa to Appalachia: Affrilachian Tales.
Lyn Ford is a fourth-generation Affrilachian storyteller, author and keynote speaker. She is recognized as one of the leading African-American voices in America. Her work has taken her across the United States and beyond its borders to Australia and Ireland. Lyn is a mentor to young authors, a leading workshop facilitator and teaching artist in the U.S., and a certified laughter yoga teacher. This November, Lyn will be a storyteller for the Freedom Stories Project of the International Storytelling Center.
The Fall International Storyteller Series is presented in conjunction with the Hawaii Book and Music Festival.
