Online Dating Safety & Upstander Support

October 20, 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Mānoa Campus, 2600 Campus Road QLC #211

Pandemic limiting your options for meeting someone in person? Come talk story with DVAC’s TAP808 team this Domestic Violence Awareness Month about ways to ensure you’re being safe when using dating apps and matching with potential partners or hook ups. In addition, learn about how you can support a friend who may be experiencing an unhealthy or abusive relationship. It’s more common than we may think, so let’s be intentional about how we show up for each other. #UHWeAllKnow1 --- October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. At UHM, our theme this year is #UHWeAllKnow1 which focuses on how disturbingly common and close to home DV is and the collective work we all need to do to create a more peaceful campus. Chances are, we all know someone who has experienced this form of violence. That's why during DVAM this October, PAU Violence, UH Women's Center, Mānoa Advocate, and DVAC are partnering to shed light on this issue to promote healthy relationships, support survivors, and prevent domestic violence here on our campus. --- #UHWeAllKnow1
