Please complete this application form if you are interested in taking a college class from any of the 10 University of Hawaiʻi campuses while you are still in high school. This application form is related to student participation in the Early College, Running Start, and Early Admit Programs.
To start, select the semester you are planning to take your college course. Applications forms are currently available for the Spring 2026 term, Summer 2026 term, Fall 2026 term, Spring 2027 term, and Summer 2027 term. Several UH campuses are piloting use of a multi-term application form for EARLY COLLEGE STUDENTS ONLY. If you are planning to participate in the Running Start program or Early Admit program, do NOT fill out the multi-term application form. Please talk to your high school counselor or the Early College contact at the UH campus if you’re not sure which application form to complete.
Please do not include diacritical markings (‘okina, kahakō, apostrophes, etc.) or symbols (#, etc.) on your dual credit application. Application forms may not be submitted if diacritical markings or symbols are included. This is, unfortunately, a persistent issues, and we’re still in process of trying to find a resolution.
*If you are interested and qualify for the GEAR UP Running Start Scholarship, please be sure to select “Yes” under the “I meet all of the(se) eligibility requirements and would like to be considered for a GEAR UP Running Start Scholarship” field on the dual credit application. Your application form must be submitted online prior to the scholarship deadline for the semester. As a reminder, 9 of the 10 University of Hawaiʻi campuses participate in the Running Start program; the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa does not participate in the Running Start program, so students are not able to receive a GEAR UP Running Start Scholarship for use at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Receipt of GEAR UP Running Start Scholarship is dependent on funding availability. For more details, please refer to the Running Start page .

Summer 2026 Term: Friday, March 27, 2026
GEAR UP Running Start Scholarships will NOT be available after the Summer 2026 term.
