About Procurement
Procurement is the process of acquiring goods, services, and construction for an organization — everything from office supplies and research equipment to large-scale building projects.
At UH, procurement keeps our campuses running. Students need materials, equipment, and services; faculty need resources to teach and do research; and fiscal administrators help manage the funding for those needs. Through the process of procurement, OPM helps connect the needs of students and faculty with the vendors who supply them.
The University of Hawai‘i System manages millions in procurements each year, supporting education, research, and public service across 10 campuses on 6 islands — making it one of the largest procurement operations in the state.

The Office of Procurement Management
The Office of Procurement Management (OPM) is responsible for the acquisition of goods, services, construction, and concessions that support the University of Hawai‘i’s academic, research, and community-serving operations.
Guided by the principles of kuleana, pono, and the spirit of Aloha, OPM upholds ethical, transparent, and accountable procurement practices that meet the diverse needs of the University.
