Public lecture by Dr. Samuel Yamashita. He has been researching food as a historical subject since 2009. He will discuss his research & exploration of Pacific Rim fusion cuisine and a history of Japanese food and foodways. His book, "Hawaii'i Regional Cuisine: The Food Movement That Changed the Way Hawaii'i Eats," will be published by the UH Press in May 2019.
