    The UH System Scholarships are open to students who are admitted as a regular student attending any of the ten campuses of the University of Hawai‘i System.

    There is a single online UH System Scholarship Application for over forty different scholarships.

    These scholarships are made available by the generosity of private individuals and organizations who wish to reward students for a wide variety of accomplishments, including, but not limited to, academic achievement, service to the school and community, leadership ability, first-generation college-going, and specific major and career choices. Some take into consideration financial need and unique personal backgrounds. Availability of certain scholarships is dependent upon the availability of funds.

    Getting Started

    Before starting your application, review the application requirements and associated documentation.

    The UH System Scholarship Application website has a security feature that causes it to time out after 45 minutes without use. Your information will not be saved. You must complete this application in one sitting.

    Therefore, it is strongly suggested that you download and review the sample questions (PDF) and prepare your personal statement and essays in a word processing program ahead of time.

    Other Scholarship Opportunities

    The UH System Scholarship application will not place the applicant in consideration for other campus specific scholarships. Please contact the financial aid office at the campus you plan to attend to apply for other grants and scholarships.

    Students with financial need are especially encouraged to file the FAFSA and apply for other scholarship and federal financial aid opportunities available. Financial aid awards funded by the university may be revised/rescinded if a student is selected for any UH System Scholarship, please check with your campus financial aid office for more information.
