How the Deferred Compensation Plan Can Work for You (02/25/15)
The Deferred Compensation Plan is a supplemental tax-deferred retirement plan that allows employees to save for retirement, in addition to the State’s pension plan. The Island $avings Plan will be conducting an informational session on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 on the following: provide a brief plan overview, understanding plan expenses, a comparison of 403 (b) and 457 plans, market behaviors, downturns and recoveries, and the impact and importance of asset allocation.

  • 2015 Island Flex Open Enrollment (02/13/15)
    The 2015 Island Flex open enrollment period is March 9 – April 30, 2015. Information Workshops will be conducted throughout the State. Island Flex is a flexible spending program that allows employees to pay for eligible health care and dependent care expenses with TAX FREE money.

  • EUTF Shortage Notice (11/07/14)
    Revision of Hawai‘i Employer-Union Health Benefits Trust Fund (EUTF) Administrative Rules, section 4.13(b) - Failure to pay premium shortage in full by due date will result in cancellation of health coverage. Employee may re-apply for health coverage during next open enrollment period.

  • Amendments to EUTF's Administrative Rules (09/29/14)

    The Hawai‘i Employer-Union Health Benefits Trust Fund (EUTF) administrative rule changes were approved by the Governor on 8/18/2014. The amended administrative rules can be viewed in its entirety at EUTF's website under "Rules & Statutes" at eutf.hawaii.gov.

    President Lassner has advised that the guidance contained in the memorandum from the Department of Human Resources Development relating to Administrative Leave Due to Anticipated Severe Weather Conditions on August 7 & 8, 2014 shall apply to the University of Hawaii.
