Russian Film Week

During the week of International Education at UH Manoa, we will screen five recently-produced and critically acclaimed Russian films. Each film will be introduced by a student who is studyng Russian film this semester. At the end of the film we will have a discussion and Q&A.

5 novellas about contemporary Russian life interconnected through one character, a novelist. Ironic, even sarcastic way of dealing with consumerism and new capitalist values.

A tragic comedy about female friendship set in contemporary Saint Petersburg.
