We invite you to arrive early and visit our exhibit and resource tables starting at 8:00 a.m.
The Quest is an event for anyone whose life has been touched by and wants to learn more about cancer. Come and listen to some of our leading UH Cancer Center and community scientists who will address:
• Role of microbes in the health of humans and other animals – Margaret McFall-Ngai, PhD
• Clinical perspective of the human microbiome in health and illness – Scott Kuwada, MD
• Role of the oral microbiome in health and disease – Brenda Hernandez, PhD, MPH
• Impact of diet on the gut microbiome in health and disease – Carol Boushey, PhD
• Relationship between the gut microbiome and obesity – Loic Le Marchand, MD, PhD
• Alterations to the human microbiome that lead to liver and bile duct cancer – Wei Jia, PhD
