Faculty candidate talk

January 17, 3:00pm - 4:15pm
Mānoa Campus, KUY 410

Jeremy Chow is a doctoral candidate in the English department at the University of California, Santa Barbara. His talk, which reflects new research, stems from conversations began in his dissertation that play with the blending of eighteenth-century literary and cultural studies, gender and sexuality, and the environmental humanities. This piece is an extension of his growing investment in critical animal studies approaches throughout the long eighteenth century, especially as such approaches intersect with gender and sexuality studies and postcolonialism.
