The Microbes Song: The New Field of Microbe Science

Trained in oceanography, molecular genetics, and microbial ecology, Dr. Proctor has united researchers across disciplines, igniting a field that promises to upend medicine from immunology to psychiatry. At UH, Proctor will speak on microbiome science writ large, explaining how new research is transforming our understanding of ecosystems, evolution, and human health.

Presented by the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Kamehameha Schools, and the Hawaii Community Foundation with support from the Pacific Biosciences Research Center.
