The Korean Peace Process with Lee In-young, ROK's Minister of Unification

The Center for Korean Studies presents: Korea Vision Dialogue Series #1- The Korean Peace Process: With Lee In-young, Republic of Korea's Minister of Unification. The U.S. President Joe Biden, in his first telephone conversation with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, on February 3, 2021, emphasized his commitment to strengthening the United States-Republic of Korea alliance, calling it as “the linchpin for peace and prosperity in Northeast Asia.” The two leaders agreed to closely coordinate on matters related to North Korea. South Korea has been pursuing active engagements as its key policy and strategy to deal with North Korea. The Center for Korean Studies is delighted to present “The Korean Peace Process” as the inaugural event of the Korea Vision Dialogue Series, with Lee In-young, Republic of Korea's Minister of Unification, as the first speaker. Dean Peter Arnade will offer greeting remarks, and Professors Young-a Park and C. Harrison Kim will join as commentators. CKS Director Tae-Ung Baik will moderate the session. The Center for Korean Studies events are free and open to all.
