The University of Hawaiʻi Board of Regents issued the following statement after an annual job performance evaluation of UH President David Lassner. The statement was issued at the board’s November 21, 2019 meeting at the Kauaʻi Community College after the regents met in executive session.
“We acknowledge the significance of the position of the President of the University as a community and state leader, and we hold this position and its responsibilities with high expectations. We acknowledge that we have significant challenges and opportunities ahead that are shared by both the President and the Board. The Board of Regents would like to take this opportunity to recognize the hard work, dedication, and leadership that the President has exhibited during his tenure and during these difficult times.”
