University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa track and field senior Lilian Turban received Big West Field Athlete of the Week honors for the fifth time in her career following a stellar weekend performance at the Steve Scott Invitational.

Turban stood out in three different events, highlighted by a Big West-leading toss in the javelin. She won with a mark of 45.85m to take over the conference lead while also moving into fifth on the UH all-time top 10 list.

She started the second day of the invitational by taking home her third win of the season in the high jump, clearing 1.76m.

Turban also delivered a career-best performance in the shot put, posting a personal record with a toss of 14.67m to finish third in the meet. That mark also moved her into seventh on the UH all-time top 10 list.

Turban is the second Rainbow Wahine athlete to earn field athlete of the week honors this year. It also marks the fourth consecutive year that Hawaiʻi has earned Big West Field Athlete of the Week honors multiple times in a season.
