Schager selected to Maxwell Award watch list

Last season, UH Mānoa quarterback Brayden Schager led the Mountain West in passing yards, touchdown passes and points responsible for.

UH Mānoa placed seven football players on Phil Steele’s Preseason All-Mountain West/PAC-2 team.

Four players were selected on the first two teams, five players on the third team and three to the fourth team.

Pofele Ashlock ranked third in the Mountain West for receptions per game leading UH with 83 receptions.

The early signing class includes eight offensive and six defensive players, with seven recruits from Hawaiʻi.
