Colette Higgins is an associate professor of arts and humanities.

Higgins is actively involved in the campus’ service learning program and in various professional development opportunities as they relate to her teaching endeavors. Colleagues note that she uses these opportunities and incorporates her experiences into her classroom.

Higgins has a high level of interest and enthusiasm in her subject.

The Regents’ Medal for Excellence in Teaching is awarded by the Board of Regents as tribute to faculty members who exhibit an extraordinary level of subject mastery and scholarship, teaching effectiveness and creativity and personal values that benefit students. The board also awards the Regents’ Medal for Excellence in Research.
