Binh Danh, born in Vietnam in 1977, has a BFA from San Jose State University, 2002, and a MFA from Stanford University, 2004. He was awarded the 2004 Artist Fellowship, Arts Council Silicon Valley; Artist Project Award, Center for Photographic Art, Carmel, California, 2004; and a residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris, 2004. His work has been included in exhibitions at the University of California, Santa Cruz, 2006; the George Eastman House and the Memorial Art Gallery, Rochester, New York, 2006; Fowler Museum, Los Angeles, 2006; de Young Museum, San Francisco, 2005; University Art Gallery at Indiana State University, 2005; Museum of Contemporary Photography, Chicago, 2005; Triton Museum of Art, Santa Clara, 2005; and the Center for Photographic Art, Carmel, California, 2005.
