Makahiki Panel
November 1, 5:30pm - 7:30pmMānoa Campus, KamakakÅ«okalani, HÄlau o Haumea

Aloha mai kÄkou e ka ‘ohana o UH MÄnoa,
As Makali‘i – the constellation Pleiades – rises, we welcome Makahiki. This Hawaiian season marks a time of peace, relaxation, celebration, and renewal. As we enter into this significant time together, let us collectively find ways to renew our spirit, pause to celebrate both the abundance we are gifted and also that which we create, and actively seek peaceful engagement as we nurture our beloved community.
Over this four-month period of Makahiki, let us make a concerted effort to live into the intentions of the season. To start us off, a panel of esteemed scholar practitioners will present on Makahiki and help us all to learn more as we move forward.
