Aloha All,
Warm greetings from the East-West Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The East-West Center will be holding its annual International Graduate Student Conference (IGSC) focused on the Asia Pacific region from February 13-15, 2020.
This year’s Conference theme is Community Voices: Building Bridges.
We would like to sincerely invite you to join the IGSC Closing Plenary Panel. This special panel is co-funded by the Council of Indigenous Peoples in Taiwan and will serve as the 2020 Austronesian Youth Forum, which will bring together talented youth to deepen exchanges between community, academic institutions, and non-governmental organizations.
The topic of the forum is Images Across Austronesia, featuring a keynote speech by Director Sergio M. Rapu, an award-winning director (Eating Up Easter). We have invited Director Rapu, Dr. Vilsoni Hereniko, Palauan artist Anthony Watson, Taiwanese indigenous artists Ipiq Matay, and Fuday Jiyo as participants and discussants in the forum.
