Interference Patterns is a multi-media collaboration between Koa Gallery, KCC and the Art Gallery, UHM.

Expanding on the concerns of "Inundation," and a concurrent exhibition, "Between Words," at Koa Gallery, Kapio'olani Community College, this evening of constructive interference takes up art, media and climate change in the Pacific by bringing together two images by Monte Costa and Janetta Napp, the feature-length documentary "Moananui'kea: One Ocean, One People, One Canoe" (2018), a visualization of global weather conditions via, and sounds gathered at dusk on the Waikiki shoreline.

"Inundation" at The Art Gallery, UHM, will be open from 5:00–6:00 p.m.

January 24 - February 29, 2020

Opening Reception: Friday, January 24 | 5 - 8PM

Monte Costa’s black and white photographs and Janetta Napp’s charcoal drawings accentuate their overlapping fascination for depicting movement—fleeting forces are rendered as enduring moments.
