A New Vision for Immigration and Justice: Marielena Hincapié
April 26, 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Mānoa Campus, Architecture Auditorium
The Trump era has been marked by exclusionary immigration policies, from wall building to family separation. As Executive Director of the National Immigration Law Center, Marielena Hincapié has led the opposition to many of these policies, but she contends that it’s not enough to fight back--we have to fight forward. In her address at UH, she will outline what communities, states, and the nation can do to build a more just and inclusive country.
