February 25, 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Mānoa Campus, Zoom

A very special episode of Voice of the Sea titled “Community-Based Subsistence Fishing Areas” features Pelika Andrade from Hawaii Sea Grant along with Luna Kekoa from the Hawaii Division of Aquatic Resources and leaders of the Hui Maka‘ainana o Makana, a non profit group that formed in 1998 to care for the Haena watershed and community. The featured guests talk about growing opportunities for communities to formally manage their natural resources and preserve local traditions through community-based management. Join the YouTube Watch Party to view the episode and ask the featured guests questions directly!
