NWS Radar Loop
The NWS weather loop is an animated visual display of real-time weather data, such as radar, satellite, or lightning. The radar uses color and animation to show precipitation and storm movement:
- Green – Light rain
- Yellow – Moderate rain
- Red – Heavy rain or thunderstorms
- Purple – Intense storms or severe weather
Use the radar loop to see how weather is developing and where it’s moving.
