Attention faculty and advisors: Prepare for transition to new eBanner system
The transformational journey begins
The University of Hawaiʻi Banner Student Information System—the backbone supporting nearly every UH application, system, and service—will undergo a major update starting in the fall of 2025. It will enhance functionality and better support students, faculty and staff across the 10 institutions (also referred to as campuses).
Vendor support for the current version will end on January 1, 2026 and will no longer meet state and federal data privacy standards and reporting compliance. More details are available in the May 2, 2025 memo from UH President Wendy Hensel.
While the upgrade will cause temporary disruptions, the long-term benefits—especially for students—will be significant. We appreciate your patience and cooperation throughout this modernization. If you have any questions, email your campus/system representative or email banner25@hawaii.edu.
