The Hui Ola Pono: Public Health Undergraduate Club has won a national competition and will receive funding to host a climate justice fair on campus during National Public Health Week in April.
In response to the measles outbreak in Samoa, the UH Mānoa Office of Public Health Studies’ graduate Hui Ola Pono will be collecting medical supplies and monetary donations to support the aid efforts.
The project will convert Sinclair Library into a hub of student interaction with modern, comfortable spaces for individual study, group study, academic advising and tutoring, and more.
Planning has begun with a $700,000 state appropriation, and Gov. David Ige has included the university’s $41 million request for the project in his proposed budget.
The college’s academic programs and student services will present interactive exhibits that highlight the degree and certificate programs available at the campus.
