The Robbie Shapard Short-Short Story Prize

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Creative Writing Program is pleased to welcome student submissions for THE ROBBIE SHAPARD SHORT-SHORT STORY PRIZE.

For best short-short story by a University of Hawai‘i student.

First Prize $250
Second Prize $50

Eligibility: All undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at any campus in the University of Hawai‘i system

Rules:
● Contestants may submit no more than 3 stories, and each story must not exceed 1000 words.
● Entries should have a cover page with the writer’s name (which should NOT appear in the manuscript), address, telephone number, student ID number, and title of story or stories.
● Manuscripts should be typed, double spaced, in 12 pt. font.
● Entries not conforming to these rules will be disqualified.
