Join us for Posidelki this Wednesday, October 9th from 3:30-5:30 PM. Mat Nelen, a Russian/ Fine Art dual major, will be presenting his research on Rusalka (mermaid), an ancient Slavic tale, and how the story evolved over time as it was told and retold by ever-changing cultures. Mat’s artwork is highly influenced by these stories, and he is currently working on a published book containing his research, the original stories, and his own artistic interpretations. See more of his work at http://www.behance.com/matnelen.
As always, we will be enjoying tea, cookies, extra credit, and the company of friends. Hope to see you there!
