Reinke and Hoke announcement

University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo women’s volleyball‘s Emerson Reinke and Tani Hoke were announced as part of the 2023 Academic All-District Volleyball Team as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) on December 12.

The CSC Academic All-America/District program recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom, requiring a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Reinke, a sophomore setter and communication major, and Hoke, a senior libero and political science major, both started and played in all 28 matches and 108 sets played this past fall.

Hoke also earned All-PacWest Second Team honors and became the program’s new all-time digs leader with a career total of 1,603 and counting. Reinke surpassed 1,000 assists alone this season, ranking at No. 10 in the program’s single-season record books.
