Ellyana Cinzori and Big West Field Player of Week graphic

University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa softball player Ellyana Cinzori was named Big West Field Player of the Week on April 28 after leading the Rainbow Wahine over five games against CSUN, UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly.

Cinzori led with a .455 batting average on the road. The junior went 5-for-11 at the plate with two doubles and a home run. She drove in four runs while scoring one.

In the game against CSUN, Cinzori set a career-high with three hits, going 3-for-4 and driving in two runs with two doubles. Later in the week, she continued her strong play against UC Santa Barbara, going 1-for-2 with a home run and two RBIs. This was her second career home run, and it helped secure a 5-4 victory for the Rainbow Wahine.
