Neal Nagao

Neal Nagao is a building maintenance supervisor at the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo.

Nagao has worked for UH Hilo for more than 27 years. He began as UH Hilo’s only electrician and was later promoted to the campus’ only maintenance supervisor.

His peers and supervisors describe Nagao as having a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.

He has been praised for keeping UH Hilo one of the best maintained campuses while working with limited resources and mentoring a great team.
