Themed as A Feast for the Senses, Leeward Community College’s culinary arts gala Lʻulu celebrates its tenth anniversary on May 6, 6–9 p.m. Guests will indulge their senses with the delectable cuisines of Hawaiʻi’s finest chefs alongside the Leeward CC culinary arts program’s instructors and students.
Exceptional entertainment and a silent auction, complimented by an array of wines, beers, spirits and specialty coffees and teas complete the festive atmosphere and extraordinary ambiance of dining amid the Culinary Arts Program’s dining and kitchen facilities. Rounding out the evening are the sounds of Sonya Mendez and Chica Tropica, Noel Okimoto and Dean Taba, and a special trunk show by Project Runway finalist Ari South.
For its 10th anniversary, Leeward CC is proud to feature 10 program alumni who have careers in some of Hawaiʻi’s top restaurants. These alumni come back to Leeward as proud graduates to support the next generation of industry professionals.

Lʻulu continues to feature the partnerships between chefs and farmers that seek to manage natural resources and the environment in a sustainable manner and shape the local market. Guest can enjoy the mouthwatering contemporary cuisines, meet the chefs and alumni and talk-story with the farmers who supply the restaurants with fresh nutritious products.
Lʻulu, Leeward Culinary Arts Gala, is an annual opportunity to support Hawaiʻi’s culinary students and the leaders of Hawaiʻi’s food sustainability initiatives.
