Syrmos will succeed Michael Bruno, who announced on May 5 that he will return to the faculty on July 1 after serving as provost since 2019.
“As we close another remarkable academic year, I want to take a moment to congratulate each of you on reaching this milestone.”

Bruno will return to the faculty as a Professor of Ocean Engineering in the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology
