University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo men’s soccer player Tom Vorkastner and women’s soccer player Nanea Wall were named KTA Super Stores Superstars of the Week for September 28–October 4.
Vorkastner led the men’s soccer team to their win against Academy of Art University on October 1, with an early goal and an assist later off a corner kick for the equalizer.
Wall scored her second goal of the season (11th in career) in the Vulcans’ 7-0 win over Academy of Art on October 1. The senior also assisted on two goals prior to her own score in the 40th minute.
The award names one male and one female Vulcan Athletics student-athlete each week, highlighting their accomplishments from the week prior.
