UH Mānoa among world’s best in multiple subject areas

UH’s flagship institution was highly ranked in four broad subject area rankings.

The National Survey of Student Engagement collected valuable information in February 2020 from UH Mānoa freshmen and seniors.

The state ranked No. 2 in the nation thanks to the affordability of UHʻs 10 campuses.

UH Mānoa placed in the world’s top 1% in physical sciences, arts and humanities, social sciences, education and life sciences.

The Oʻahu campus has the most racially and ethnically diverse faculty in the nation.

The flagship campus of the UH System is ranked 766 out of 5,677 public, private and for profit educational institutions.

The campuses were among 1,452 eligible universities rated in the latest U.S. News and World Report rankings.

UH Mānoa ranked in the 201–250 tier internationally by Times Higher Education.

UH Mānoa, Honolulu, Leeward and Windward campuses and programs were recognized by Honolulu Star-Advertiser readers as Hawaiʻi’s Best for 2020.
