Her special interests include women's health and the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS.

Dr. Sarah Grekin received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She completed residency training in dermatology at the University of Michigan and a fellowship in dermatopathology at the Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Grekin is Board-certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology and holds an academic appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the John A. Burns School of Medicine.

Dr. Sharon Hiu received her undergraduate degree from Loyola Marymount University and medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona. She completed residency training in family medicine at the DCH Foundation Hospitals in Downey. She is Board-certified in Family Medicine and holds an academic appointment as Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Ms. Nancy Luong Kendall received her undergraduate degree from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa and Master of Science in Nursing at the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville, Tennessee. She specializes in women’s health and primary care medicine.
ANDREW W. NICHOLS, M.D.

Dr. Andrew Nichols received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and medical degree from Wake Forest University. He completed residency training in family medicine and fellowship training in sports medicine at UCLA. He is Board-certified in both Family Medicine and Sports Medicine and holds academic appointments as Clinical Professor of Family Medicine and Community Health and Sports Medicine Fellowship Program Director at the John A. Burns School of Medicine. Dr. Nichols served as head team physician for the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Athletics Department from 1994-2011, and is now a volunteer team physician. Dr. Nichols is the Director of University Health Services Mānoa.

Dr. Victoria Shimotsu grew up in Hawai‘i and received her undergraduate degree from Tufts University. She received her medical degree from the John A. Burns School of Medicine and completed residency training in family medicine at Adventist Health Glendale in California. Dr. Shimotsu is Board-certified in Family Medicine.

Dr. Jonathan Sladky received his undergraduate degree from The College of William and Mary College and medical degree from The Ohio State University. He completed residency training in pediatrics at Emory University and fellowship training in sports medicine at the UH Mānoa-John A. Burns School of Medicine. He is Board-certified in both Pediatrics and Sports Medicine and holds an academic appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine and Community Health at the John A. Burns School of Medicine. Dr. Sladky has served as head team physician for the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa Athletics Department since 2019.
COURTNEY TAUM, M.D.

Dr. Courtney Taum is the 2024-25 University of Hawai‘i-John A. Burns School of Medicine Sports Medicine Fellow. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, where she was a member and team captain of the UHM Wahine Basketball Team. Dr. Taum earned her M.D. degree and completed pediatrics residency training at the UHM-John A. Burns School of Medicine. She is Board-certified in Pediatrics.
