A classroom in the new RISE building will be named in honor of Walter Dods.
The inaugural Ideation Studio@UH spring 2022 cohort will be limited to four to five participants.
The gift from Island Insurance is the fourth major gift toward the UH Foundation’s goal of raising $3 million to fund the RISE project.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the UH Foundation’s Direct Admit Program scholarship fund as part of “Giving Tuesday.”
The facility’s main entry will be named for Hawaiian Electric Industries, while a rooftop deck will be named for American Savings Bank.
UH Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation will host a virtual conference November 15–17.
