Customization

  1. Go to your directory homepage (directory/index) and click Edit at the top right corner.
  2. Update the directory settings:
    1. Listing Style: Choose the style to display profiles in
      1. Classic: Text-only, no profile images
      2. List w/ Images or Tile w/ Images:
        1. Default Image: Select an image to use for profiles with no image
        2. Image Position: Select where to show the image on the listing
        3. Image Type: Select if the profile image should be a background image of the listing (not an actual image element, will scale with the size of the listing) or an image element (listing will increase in size to accommodate the size of the image)
    2. Sort By: Select your preferred way to sort the profiles
    3. Items Per Page: Select how many profiles to show per page
    4. Profile Sidebar Location: Select where the profile sidebar should appear on each profile page
    5. Tags Label: Allows you to add an additional field for profiles. Leave blank if tags are not used.
    6. Add Banner: Select "Yes" to add an image banner at the top of the page
      1. Image: Select an image to use for the banner
      2. Image Positioning: Select how the image should position within the banner
    7. Page Content: Enter content to show above the directory listing.
  3. Click Preview Draft > Submit

Adding a Profile Page

  1. Click Add Content at the top.
  2. Click Directory > Profile Page.
  3. Update the Profile Page fields:
    1. Page Name: Enter a URL friendly name for the profile (ex. “firstname-lastname”)
    2. Title: Enter a Title for the profile (this will be displayed at the top of the profile)
    3. First Name: Enter the First Name of the profile
    4. Last Name: Enter the Last Name of the profile
    5. Position Title: Enter the Position Title of the profile
    6. Department (optional): Select the Department of the profile
    7. Phone (optional): Enter the phone number of the profile
    8. Email (optional): Enter the email address of the profile
    9. Office (optional): Enter the office of the profile
    10. Add Banner: Select "Yes" to add a banner to the profile
      1. Image: Select an image for the banner
      2. Image Positioning: Select how the image should be positioned within the banner
    11. Profile Image (optional): Select an image for the profile
    12. Curriculum Vitae (optional): Select a CV for the profile
    13. Profile Content (optional): Add any desired content for the profile page
  4. Click Preview Draft > Submit.

Adding/Updating Departments

You can update or add additional values to the “department” field.

  1. Click Manage Site at the top.
  2. Click Go to Metadata Sets.
  3. Click Profile Page.
  4. Click Edit at the top right corner
  5. Click on the Custom Fields tab at the top.
  6. Scroll down to the Multiselect: Department field.
  7. Under Configuration > Items, update the Value field to update any department names.
  8. Click Add Item to add an additional department and update the Value field with the department name.
  9. Click Submit at the top right corner.

Publishing Directory Pages

When new profile pages are published, the directory page JSON file must also be republished. If the directory page is not republished, the new profile pages will not appear in the live directory.

To publish the JSON file:

  1. Go to your directory index file (named either "Directory" or "index").
  2. Click Publish at the top right corner.
  3. Check the "JSON" output and uncheck all other outputs.
  4. Check the appropriate destination.
  5. Click Publish at the top right corner.
