The LIS program has videotaped various LIS related events and are available for student and general public viewing through iTunesU. You can watch these on your computer or movie-compatible ipod. iTunesU is still in the beta stage at UH, so you have to sign in using your UH username at http://www.hawaii.edu/itunesu/ then go to your iTunes application. If you are using Firefox, you will be asked to launch the application via your web browser after you login. After iTunes has launched, you can find the videos under Courses. Then look for the LIS icon under the title Manoa: Library & Information Science. The LIS section is divided into “Public Presentations” and “For Students”.
We hope this is of special use for neighbor island students, as we know it is hard to jump on a plane for our events. The resolution is a bit poor, but still takes a while to download. The LIS Program will keep adding content from time to time.
