Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Burma

On May 24, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) published a Federal Register notice (FRN) designating Burma for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months, effective May 25, 2021, through Nov. 25, 2022. DHS Secretary Alejandro N. Mayorkas previously announced on March 12 that Burma would be designated for TPS. TPS grants beneficiaries certain benefits while in the United States, such as work authorization and extensions of stay. If you are interested in TPS and may qualify, schedule a meeting with an ISS advisor.
